The teams have been split into 8 groups of 4 with the top 2 teams advancing out of each group into the knockout stage that begins on November 28th, 2022 and ends on December 16th, 2022 when there are only 2 countries left standing as winners of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
1) Introduction
This year’s World Cup is in Russia, but for the first time since 2006, there will be a new host nation next time around. The chosen venue is none other than Qatar. And it means that the biggest sporting event of 2022 will take place in Middle Eastern territory and not on European soil. The tournament will be taking place from November 21st to December 18th with the world's 32 best national teams vying for glory and the sport's most coveted trophy.
Here's everything you need to know about the tournament that won't happen until eight years from now but is already stirring up a lot of excitement: who's playing, who qualified and how they did it, what date they'll be playing on and which stadiums they'll be playing at.
